Court reporters who travel for their job get paid back for their travel costs. This includes things like mileage, meals, or lodging if their work requires them to travel.

The amount they get paid back follows the travel rules set by the Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation. This office sets the standard rates and guidelines that apply, so court reporters are reimbursed the same way other court staff are when they travel for work.

This rule has been updated twice, most recently in 2021, with the current version taking effect on January 1, 2022.
