Scope and effective date

These rules took effect on September 1, 1995. Once they started, they replaced any local court rules that were being used before in Nebraska's district courts.

This means every district court in the state now follows the same set of rules for how cases are handled. If you're dealing with a case in a Nebraska district court, these are the rules that apply, no matter which county or courthouse you're in. You don't need to worry about older, local versions of the rules since they no longer count.
