Rule 6-2102 Authority.

Only certain Nebraska trial courts are allowed to livestream what happens in the courtroom. Not every courthouse has this option, and it only applies where the court has been given permission to do it.

If you're a regular person attending a court hearing, you cannot livestream it on your own. You need to ask the judge in charge of that hearing and get their okay first. Without that permission, streaming the proceeding yourself is not allowed.

News reporters and media outlets follow a different, separate set of rules for covering court proceedings, found in section 6-2001 and the rules after it. This rule does not change what applies to them.
