Rule 1-105 Limitations.

This rule gives the Supreme Court the power to act quickly when it needs to. Even though there's a normal process for creating, changing, or getting rid of court rules, the Court can skip that process if there's an emergency. This means the Court doesn't have to wait for the usual steps if a situation demands a fast decision.

The rule doesn't spell out what counts as an "emergency." Instead, it leaves that judgment up to the Court itself. This gives the Court flexibility to respond to urgent problems without being stuck following the standard rulemaking timeline.

The history at the end just shows how this rule has been renumbered and adjusted over the years. It started as Rule V, got updated in 1999, and was later reorganized into its current position as Rule 1-105 in 2009. These changes were mostly organizational and didn't affect what the rule actually means or how it works.
