After a trial, the district court judge signs off on the proposed judgment. This makes it official and final. The judge's approval also covers any orders that come after the judgment.

The date this judgment gets filed with the district court is what starts the clock. From that date, you have a set amount of time to file any post-judgment motions, and these go to the alternate trial judge who handled your case. That same filing date also starts the clock if you want to appeal to the Nevada Supreme Court.

In short, this rule tells you when your case officially becomes final and when your deadlines to take further action begin.
