Rule 205 Scope

If you're a lawyer in Nevada who actively practices law, you have to follow the continuing legal education rules. This includes lawyers who are certified to practice under a special rule called Rule 49.1. These education rules are covered in Rules 205 through 214.

The only way to skip these requirements is if you qualify for an exemption under Rule 214. Otherwise, all active lawyers need to keep learning and taking approved courses throughout their careers to maintain their license to practice law.
