Rule 17A-009 Immunity.

People who work for the Client Protection Fund are protected from being sued over actions they take as part of their job. This includes commission members, staff, employees, and anyone working on the fund's behalf. As long as they are doing their official duties, they can't be held legally liable for that work.

This protection also covers people who file claims with the fund, as well as any lawyer helping someone with a claim. If a claimant or their lawyer sends information or communications to the fund, they are protected from being sued over those communications. This encourages people to speak openly and honestly when filing a claim, without fear of legal trouble for doing so.
