Rule 27-102 Definitions.

This rule explains what two key words mean whenever they show up in the rules about reviewing Judicial Standards Commission cases.

The word "commission" simply means the Judicial Standards Commission itself. This is the group that looks into complaints about judges and decides whether a judge has done something wrong.

The word "judge" covers a wide range of judicial positions. It includes Supreme Court justices, Court of Appeals judges, district court judges, metropolitan court judges, magistrate court judges, probate court judges, and municipal court judges. So whenever these rules mention a "judge," they mean any person holding one of these positions, not just one specific type of judge.
