Any official court document or order in these cases must carry specific formal markings to be valid. The chief justice's name goes on the document, and the court clerk must sign it. The court's official seal also has to be on it.

This is basically a formatting and authentication requirement. It makes sure that anything the Supreme Court issues in a Judicial Standards Commission case looks official and can be verified as coming from the court itself. If you receive or see one of these documents, you should expect to find the chief justice's name, the clerk's signature, and the court seal on it.
