Rule 6-812 Transfer of fugitive actions after issuance of a governor's rendition warrant.

If someone is facing a fugitive case in magistrate court and the governor signs a warrant to arrest and send that person back to another state, the case can't stay in magistrate court. The magistrate court has to send the case over to district court.

From that point on, the district court handles everything else related to the case. This makes sure a higher court takes charge once the governor has gotten involved and ordered the extradition process to move forward.
