If there's a good reason, the board can decide to skip or bend one of these recording rules. This gives them some flexibility to handle situations that don't fit the normal pattern, or to prevent an unfair outcome for someone involved in the case.

To use this option, a person has to show "good cause," which means explaining why their situation is unusual or why following the rule as written would cause a real problem. The board then decides whether to grant the waiver, and they have the final say in that decision.

If the board says no to a waiver request, the person can appeal that decision. The appeal has to follow a specific process laid out in Rules 22-604 through 22-619. Those rules explain the exact steps for challenging the board's decision.
