§ 1211 Separability

If a judge decides that one part of this law doesn't hold up legally, that decision only affects that specific part. The rest of the law keeps working like normal.

This matters because it protects the whole law from falling apart over one bad piece. So if someone challenges a single section in court and wins, the rest of the Family Court Act stays valid and enforceable. People can still rely on all the other rules and protections in the act, even if one piece gets struck down.
