§ 421 Venue

You can file a support case in the county where you live or where the other party lives. It does not matter which one, as long as one of you has a home base there when you file the paperwork.

If needed, the case can also be moved to a different county later on. Either side can ask the family court to transfer the case, and the court will follow the same rules used in other civil cases when deciding whether to approve the move.
