§ 459 Additional arrears

If someone stops paying support like they're supposed to under a court order, the person trying to collect that money can update their court paperwork to add any new unpaid amounts. This means they don't have to start a whole new case every time more payments are missed while the current case is still going on.

To do this, the person collecting must give written notice at least eight days before the hearing. This gives the other person fair warning that more unpaid amounts will be added to the case, so they have time to prepare before showing up in court.

In short, this rule lets unpaid support keep getting added to an existing case instead of forcing people back to court over and over for the same problem. It just requires advance notice so nobody is caught off guard.
