§ 580-608 Confirmed order

Once a support order is registered and confirmed, that order becomes final and locked in. This can happen automatically over time, or it can happen after someone asks for a hearing and a judge reviews it. Either way, once confirmation happens, the case is settled on that point.

What this means for you is simple: if you had a chance to raise an objection or argument when the order was first registered, you cannot bring it up later. You get one real opportunity to challenge the order at that early stage. If you miss it, or if the order gets confirmed without your objection, you lose the right to fight about those same issues in the future.

This rule pushes people to act quickly if they disagree with a support order. If you think the order is wrong, has mistakes, or should not apply to you, you need to speak up as soon as it is registered. Waiting until later, after the order is confirmed, will likely be too late to raise those same concerns.
