§ 581-605 Counseling

If you become a surrogate, you have the right to get full health insurance that includes mental health coverage. This insurance must pay for counseling if you need help dealing with feelings or issues that come up because of the surrogacy process.

The intended parents, the people you are carrying the child for, must pay for this insurance policy. This means you should not have to cover these costs yourself. The goal is to make sure you have support and access to counseling throughout your surrogacy journey, without worrying about the expense.
