Rule 32.1 Withdrawal of Guilty Plea

Before you are sentenced, you can ask the court to let you take back a guilty or no contest plea. The court can grant this request, though it is not automatic.

After you have already been sentenced, taking back your plea is much harder. You would need to show the court that keeping your conviction in place would cause a serious and obvious injustice. This is a high bar to clear, and most requests made after sentencing are denied.
