Sec 10.8 Proof by Certified Copies

If someone is accused of misconduct as a lawyer, but there's a question about whether they are mentally competent, this rule explains what kind of proof can be used. A certified copy of a court order is enough to show that the person can't practice law. This applies if a court has already declared them mentally incompetent, or if a court has ordered them committed to a mental health facility.

Once this kind of certified court order is presented, it counts as strong proof on its own. The person can still fight back against it by presenting evidence to show the order doesn't reflect their current mental state or ability to practice law. But unless they successfully challenge it, the certified copy is treated as enough to settle the question.
