Art III Sec 4 Defect of Candidates

Here's a plain English summary of this rule.

Sometimes an election for a bar association office doesn't have anyone running for a spot. This can happen if no one signed up to be a candidate, or if a candidate died or dropped out for some other reason before the vote. When this happens, the position stays open after the annual meeting.

The Board of Governors then steps in to solve the problem. At their next meeting, which happens after the annual meeting, they pick someone to fill that empty position. This keeps the organization running smoothly even when an election doesn't produce a winner for every open spot.
