§ 1104 Record, submission without suit.

If two parties have a disagreement and both agree on the facts, they can ask a court to decide the legal outcome without filing a full lawsuit. This is called a submission without suit.

When this happens, the court keeps three things as the official record of the case: the written case itself, the submission both parties agreed to, and a copy of the judge's final decision. Together, these three documents make up the complete record that anyone can look back on later to understand what happened and how the court ruled.
