§ 1109 Remedies.

If you are a surety (someone who guarantees another person's debt or obligation) and you need to take legal action, you have options available to protect yourself. You can use the same emergency court tools that are described in Articles 8, 9, and 10 of this law.

These tools include things like attachment (freezing someone's property), garnishment (taking money owed to someone before they get it), or other orders that help secure what you're owed while your case is still being decided. You don't have to wait until the end of the lawsuit to get help. You can ask the court for this kind of protection early on.

To use these tools, you must follow the same rules and meet the same requirements that apply to anyone else using them. The law that created these remedies for other situations also applies to you as a surety. This means you'll need to show the court you have good reason to use them, just like any other party would.
