§ 1388 Injunction binding - When.

If a judge issues an injunction against you, it doesn't take effect the moment it's signed. Two things have to happen first: you need to find out about it, and the person who asked for the injunction has to put up the required bond or security.

Until both of these steps are complete, you're not legally bound to follow the injunction. This protects people from being punished for violating a court order they didn't even know existed, or one where the other side hasn't backed up their request with the required security.

In practical terms, this means the person asking for the injunction needs to make sure you're properly notified and that they've handled the bond requirement. Once both of those boxes are checked, the injunction becomes binding on you and you must follow it.
