§ 1507 Allotments.

If you're involved in a court case about dividing up property, the judge can decide that certain parts of the property should go to a specific person involved in the case. This happens through people called commissioners, who are appointed to help split up the property fairly.

The judge needs a good reason to make this kind of order. It's not automatic or random. The court has to see that there's a real, valid reason why one person should get a specific piece or section rather than just taking an equal share split evenly across the board.

This gives the court flexibility. Sometimes dividing property equally in a general way doesn't make sense, especially if someone has a particular need or connection to one part of it. This rule lets the court address those situations directly, as long as there's a solid reason behind the decision.
