§ 2107 Remainder of record.

If one side in a lawsuit brings a document or record into evidence, the other side has a right to speak up. They can ask that any other related part of that same record be shown at the same time.

The idea behind this is fairness. Sometimes showing only part of a document can be misleading if it's taken out of context. This rule lets the other side make sure the judge or jury sees the full picture right away, instead of waiting until later to bring up the missing pieces.

In practice, this means a party cannot pick and choose only the favorable parts of a record and leave out anything that gives a different impression. If the other side asks for the rest of it to come in at that same moment, the court will typically allow it.
