Rule 11.1 Creation of an Accelerated Docket

Oklahoma's Court of Criminal Appeals has a faster track for handling certain appeals. This speeds-up process is called the accelerated docket, and it lets some cases get resolved more quickly than the normal appeals process would allow.

Not every case qualifies for this faster track. The case has to meet specific requirements that are spelled out in the other rules within this section. If a case meets those requirements, it can move through the appeals process more quickly, which means people involved get a decision sooner instead of waiting through the standard timeline.
