§ 207 Pursuit and arrest of escaped prisoner.

If someone under arrest escapes or gets rescued from custody, the officer or person who was holding them can chase after them right away. This chase can happen at any time and anywhere in Oklahoma. There's no waiting period and no location limit on getting the person back into custody.

This rule basically gives the person who lost custody of a prisoner the legal right to go after them immediately, instead of having to wait for new paperwork or permission. It covers both situations: when the person breaks free on their own (escape) or when someone else helps them get away (rescue). The goal is to let law enforcement act fast to recapture someone who was supposed to be in custody, without worrying about jurisdiction or time limits getting in the way.
