§ 319 Violation, where challenge allowed.

If a grand jury finds out that someone broke the rules covered in the previous section, the jury has to tell the judge about it. The judge can then punish that person for contempt of court.

Contempt of court means the person disrespected the court process or broke a rule the court expects people to follow. The judge has the power to decide the punishment, since this kind of violation is handled directly by the court rather than through a separate criminal charge.

This rule basically gives the court a way to keep the grand jury process honest. If someone interferes with the grand jury or breaks the rules tied to it, the grand jury cannot punish them directly. Instead, they report the problem to the judge, who then decides what to do about it.
