§ 48 Undertaking sent to district court.

When a magistrate takes a bail undertaking from someone in a criminal case, that paperwork does not just stay in the magistrate's office. The magistrate has to send it along to the district court in that county.

This makes sure the bail agreement becomes part of the official record that the district court can see and use. It keeps everything connected, so when the case moves forward to district court, the judge there has the bail information on hand and does not have to track it down separately.
