§ 622 Several defendants - Challenges.

When multiple defendants are being tried together in the same case, they don't get to make jury selection decisions separately. If the defendants want to challenge a potential juror, all of them have to agree and act as one group.

This means the defendants can't split up and each make their own individual choices about who stays on the jury. If one defendant wants to challenge a juror but the others don't agree, they can't act alone. They have to come together and decide as a team whether to challenge that juror or not.

This rule exists to keep jury selection organized and fair when there's more than one defendant on trial. Without it, the process could get confusing or take much longer, with each defendant trying to challenge different jurors for different reasons. Instead, defendants tried together must work together on this part of the case.
