Rule 7 Effective Date and Codification of Rules

This rule explains when the rules for running county law libraries officially start being used. They take effect as soon as they are filed with the Clerk of the Supreme Court. Once filed, they become part of the official legal code, listed under 20 O.S. Chapter 17, Appendix.

This rule doesn't affect how libraries operate day to day. It simply sets the starting point for when all the other rules become binding and shows where to find them in the state's legal records. These rules were put in place by the Oklahoma Supreme Court and took effect on December 23, 1997.
