§ 131.908 Funding contributions

Portland State University can accept money to support the Law Enforcement Contacts Policy and Data Review Committee. This money can come from the federal government, other government agencies, or private sources.

The university can also agree to conditions attached to this funding. The only limit is that these conditions cannot conflict with the goals of the committee. In short, this rule gives the university flexibility to raise outside funds for this committee's work, as long as the funding rules match what the committee is supposed to do.

This matters for the public because it shows how the committee that reviews police contact policies gets paid for. It also confirms the university has some choice in what funding conditions it accepts, but that choice is not unlimited.
