§ 133.857 Payment of agent’s expenses

When someone acts as an agent to help arrest and return a person to Oregon (usually in an extradition case), that agent can spend money to get the job done. This rule explains how the agent gets paid back for those costs.

First, the Governor has to look at the agent's expense report and approve it. Once approved, the expenses go through the same review process as other money claims against the state. After passing that review, the state pays the agent back using money set aside for this purpose.
