§ 133.855 Short title

This rule simply gives an official name to a group of Oregon laws. The laws listed here, covering ORS 133.743 through 133.855 (with a few sections in between), are collectively known as the "Uniform Criminal Extradition Act."

Extradition is the legal process of sending someone accused or convicted of a crime back to the state where the crime happened, if they are found in a different state. This short title just makes it easier for judges, lawyers, and law enforcement to refer to this whole set of rules by one simple name instead of listing out each individual law every time.

For someone involved in an extradition case, this rule itself does not create any rights or requirements. It just tells you what to call the broader set of rules that do apply, so you know where to look if you need more details about how extradition works in Oregon.
