§ 137.153 Level II obligations in circuit court judgments

If you get a criminal case in circuit court and the judge orders you to pay a fine or other money to the state, that payment is called a "Level II obligation." This applies whenever the law does not already say where that money should go. In other words, it is the default category for state payments tied to your case.

This includes certain specific fines, like those covered under ORS 153.633, 153.645, and 153.650. If your judgment includes money owed to the state and no other rule directs where it goes, it falls under this Level II category. This helps courts and state agencies keep track of where payments are supposed to go after your case is decided.
