Rule 11.020 Compensation and Appointment of Court-appointed Counsel

If a court appoints a lawyer for someone in a juvenile case, the payment for that lawyer's work follows the rules set out in ORS 135.055. That state law decides how much the attorney can be paid for handling the case.

The appointment itself does not last forever. Unless a judge writes a specific order saying otherwise, the lawyer's appointment automatically ends once the deadline to file an appeal has passed. This means the appointed lawyer's job is done at that point, unless the court decides to extend it in writing.
