Rule 18.030 Form of Complaint

If you're filing a complaint in an eviction case, you need to say whether the case falls under ORS chapter 90. This is the section of Oregon law that covers landlord-tenant issues, so most residential eviction cases will be subject to it.

If your eviction case does fall under ORS chapter 90, your complaint has to follow the standard form found on the Oregon courts website. You can't just write it however you want. The court wants these complaints to look basically the same as the official template, so using the form from www.courts.oregon.gov/forms will keep you in line with what's required.
