Rule 6.100 Examination of Witnesses

When a witness testifies in court, only one lawyer per side gets to question them. This applies even if a party has several lawyers working on the case. The same rule goes for arguing a legal point to the judge: just one lawyer speaks for that side on that issue.

The court can make an exception if there's a good reason to allow more than one lawyer to handle a witness or argument. But that's not the normal way things work. This rule keeps things organized and prevents a team of lawyers from tag-teaming a witness or repeating the same arguments over and over.
