Rule 6.170 Juror Handling of Controlled, Hazardous, or Infectious Substances, and Chemicals

If a court case involves evidence like drugs, hazardous materials, or chemicals that jurors need to look at or handle, the court has to warn the jurors if these items could be dangerous. The court can't just hand over risky evidence without saying anything about it.

The court also has to give jurors clear instructions on how to handle these items safely. This might include giving them gloves, masks, or other safety gear if the situation calls for it. The goal is to make sure jurors can do their job of examining evidence without putting their health at risk.
