Rule 1552 Venue

If you want to go to court to split up ownership of land or a building, you must file your case in the county where that property sits. You cannot file in just any county you prefer.

If the property crosses county lines, you can choose any one of those counties to file your case. This gives you some flexibility when land spreads across borders.
