Rule 7 Hearing Panel

When a fee dispute needs to be resolved, a small group of Board members handles the case. This group is called the hearing panel. The circuit chair picks these members from the larger circuit panel to work on that specific case.

There is one exception to how this works. If a Board member has a conflict of interest with the case, they cannot serve on that hearing panel. Rule 18 explains how conflicts of interest are handled and how the panel gets adjusted when this happens.
