Rule 353 Fees for Business Court Actions

When you file a case or take certain actions in a Texas business court, you will need to pay fees. The court and the Office of Court Administration are required to publish a list showing exactly what those fees are, so you can look them up before your case begins.

If you cannot afford to pay the fees, the court must waive them for you. This follows the same process used in Rule 145, which is the standard way Texas courts handle fee waivers for people who cannot pay. The court can also waive fees in other situations if it decides that is the fair thing to do.
