Rule 53 Special Act or Law

When your court case is based on a special or private law passed in Texas, you do not need to copy the entire law into your court papers. You only need to include the title of the law, the date it was approved, and the parts of the law that relate directly to your case.

This keeps court filings shorter and easier to read. Instead of printing out a long law word for word, you just summarize the parts that matter to your situation.
