Rule 645 Property May Be Sold by Defendant

If you are the defendant in a case and someone has taken your property through a legal process called replevin, you still have options. You can sell or get rid of that property if you want to.

There is one condition. When you sell the property, you must pay the court officer the agreed-upon value of the property. Once you do that, you are free to handle the property as you choose.
