Rule 662 Delivery of Writ

When a garnishment writ is issued, it works like other court writs and must be dated and properly certified. The court officer who issues it can either hand it directly to the sheriff or constable, or give it to the plaintiff, their representative, or their lawyer to deliver.

If you are the plaintiff in a garnishment case, this means you or your attorney can take the writ and bring it to the sheriff or constable yourself. You do not have to wait for the court to handle that delivery step.
