Rule 722 Return of Original Writ

When someone makes a claim that property was wrongly seized, the officer handling the case must write a note on the original court order. This note must explain that a claim was made, who made it, who signed the bond as a guarantor, and which court received the bond.

After writing this information on the original court order, the officer must quickly send it back to the court that first issued it. This keeps the original court informed about what happened with the seized property.
