Rule 726 Judgment of Non-suit

When you file a lawsuit, you must show up to court when required. If you are the person who filed the case (the plaintiff) and you fail to appear, the judge will dismiss your case through a non-suit.

A non-suit means your case is thrown out. If this happens to you, you may be able to refile your case later, but you should talk to a lawyer about your options and any deadlines that might apply.
