Rule 79 The Petition

When you file a lawsuit in Texas, your petition must include the full names of everyone involved in the case. You also need to include where each person lives, if you know that information.

Your petition must also include everything required by Rule 47, which covers things like a short statement of what the case is about and what kind of relief or money you are asking the court to give you.
