Rule 803 May Recover a Part

In a lawsuit with multiple people on either side, each person does not have to win or lose as a group. One plaintiff can win against just one defendant, while another plaintiff might lose, or win against a different defendant.

The court looks at each person's individual rights and decides what each one deserves. A plaintiff might win the whole property, just a part of it, a share of ownership, or money damages, depending on what the facts show about their specific claim.
