Rule 1.7 Election of Officers

Every year, the members of the Commission pick a Chairperson and a Vice-Chairperson to lead the group. The Chairperson runs the Commission's meetings and handles the normal leadership tasks that come with the job. If the Chairperson can't be there, the Vice-Chairperson steps in and takes over those duties.

Once these two people are chosen, the Commission has to officially notify the Clerk of the Supreme Court about who holds these positions. This keeps the court system informed about who is leading the Commission at any given time.
