Rule 15A.14 Form of Document

When you file documents electronically in court, they need to be clear and easy to read, and they have to work properly with the court's e-filing system. If a document can't meet these standards, like an audio recording, video, or a large map, you can't file it online. Instead, you'll need to bring or mail it directly to the circuit clerk's office.

Even though these documents are filed electronically, they still have to follow all the other regular court rules and laws that apply to court filings. E-filing doesn't give you a pass on any other requirements. It just changes how you submit standard documents to the court.
